We’re thrilled to share the launch of a new website for Rose Counties Ju-Jitsu Club. Based in Skipton, the club has been teaching Ju-Jitsu to all abilities and ages for years and prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere. They’ve been a long-standing website client of ours ever since we built their original site. However, we thought it was time to redesign their website.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We understand the important role high-quality photographs play in creating a good website. In this case, we knew that the best way to truly capture the sense of the club and give potential clients an idea of the atmosphere was to send our photographer to a session. We love how the photographs turned out; they enhance the website and give it a feeling of authenticity. Aside from getting a sense of the art of ju-jitsu, they naturally capture how much the class participants are enjoying the session.
WEBSITE FEATURES
This website is a source of information for all current and potential members of Rose Counties Ju-Jitsu club. Visitors can learn about Ju-Jitsu as a discipline, see what classes are available, read about the instructors, and get a sense of the club’s teaching methods. Using a clear layout and friendly tone we aimed to make it a welcoming starting point for newcomers while staying useful for long-time members.
This redesign was also a chance to experiment with some interesting interactive features. We used horizontal and vertical scrolling effects to make exploring the site more engaging along with floating and scrolling elements to add a sense of motion. These features allowed us to bring the static photographs to life and mirror the dynamism of the sport.
